Whether you prefer voice commands, local automations, or the convenience of a mobile app, our systems deliver instant, reliable control. Create scenes, trigger schedules, or wire your exterior lighting into whole-home automations — all without complicated setup or hidden subscriptions.

Voice control — hands-free and instant
Voice control is perfect for quick adjustments: switch zones on, change colors, or recall a saved scene while you’re carrying groceries or greeting guests. We map simple phrases to actions and can set up multi-step routines (for example: “Goodnight” lowers interior lights and sets exterior security mode).
Local-first design for reliability
We prioritize local execution of safety and security schedules so essential lighting runs even during internet outages. Cloud features add convenience — remote access, history, and cross-home syncing — but core scenes and dusk-to-dawn behavior remain dependable on the controller itself.

Hawkstone integrates with third-party platforms responsibly. We follow best practices:
- Only the necessary data is shared for integrations; you control optional cloud features.
- We support secure account linking workflows and recommend strong passwords and two-factor authentication where available.
- Home Assistant support is available for users who prefer local-only automation and privacy-first control.
Multi-user access
Invite family members, property managers, or caretakers and assign roles (Owner, Admin, Guest). Temporary access can be granted for visitors or contractors and set to expire automatically — perfect for short-term rentals or service visits.
Professional setup & handoff
Hawkstone configures integrations during installation and provides a hands-on walkthrough at handoff. We save starter scenes, demonstrate voice phrases, and show how automations and routines work so you leave confident and ready to use your system.

Do I need a hub or subscription to use voice assistants?

Will my scenes still run if my internet is down?Yes. Core scenes, safety schedules, and local automations are executed by the controller even without internet access; remote control will be unavailable until connectivity returns.

Can my lighting be part of a whole-home "Goodnight" routine?Absolutely. We can integrate exterior scenes with Control4, Alexa, Google routines, or Home Assistant automations so one command can set multiple home systems at once.

Is Home Assistant difficult to integrate?Home Assistant integrations vary by controller model. Hawkstone supports local integrations for homeowners who prefer advanced, privacy-focused automations and will include setup as part of the install when requested.

How long doe the system last?Hawkstone products comes with a Lifetime Product & Installation Warranty. The lifespan of a lighting system is influenced by its usage frequency. When used solely during the holiday season, it can last as long as 30-40 years. On average, a lighting system will last between 20-30 years (assuming it is only used during nighttime hours). The components of our lighting systems last between 75,000 and 100,000 burn hours.
